Review Title: Taste and Know Goodness (Review of Bible and Breakfast by Asheritah Ciuciu)

This lovely devotional feeds the soul and fuels the body. It uniquely offers choices in how to approach each day’s reading and use of the book. This works well to fit with real life that has abrupt schedule changes on a regular basis. On some days the reader may have a chunk of time to devote to Bible study and other days a five minute devotional time is all that can be found. Formats for both are within this devotional. The short devotionals are called snacks. They tide the reader over to the longer Bible study times. This helps keep the reader from feeling guilt when unforeseen disruptions to plans for time alone with God happen.
In addition to the short or longer devotional Bible studies, a delicious recipe for a breakfast food is presented. The offerings appear to be original and ones that would please all but the most picky eaters. These recipes are tried and true for the author and are keepers. After use as a devotional, the book deserves space on the cookbook shelf of home libraries.
For the Bible study sections, the author uses the teaching style of asking deep thought provoking questions about the reading. This prompt to dig into scripture for the answers works well as a motivator to learning. The book does not have a section with suggested answers to the questions, but the author’s website may have a leader’s guide with that information available online.
This book would work well for a ladies’ Saturday morning gathering to cook the recipe, dig into Bible study, and enjoy breakfast together. Or, instead of Saturdays, a group of homeschool moms could do this several days a week while their children study together.
The many options for use of this book is a refreshing joy. It would fit the needs of all ages of adult ladies. The book teaches the discipline of Christian hospitality to those who choose to invite others to join them in Bible and Breakfast studies.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book in ebook format from #netgalley for reading and giving an honest review. I would prefer a hardcover to utilize this book as a cookbook, but for group studies, the ebook version would be sufficient. I have read the book and given my honest opinion. I have no obligation to give a good review. I have not tried the recipes, but they appear to be easily accomplished with an expected good result.
